A singular focus on stroke Icon Triangle

The Imperative Care stroke business was co-founded in 2016 by Dr. Nick Hopkins, founder and one of the pioneers of neuroendovascular surgery, and Fred Khosravi, serial entrepreneur and managing partner at medical incubator Incept, with a singular focus on developing the next generation of stroke care across the entire patient journey.

We are giving doctors leading-edge tools and technology for improving clinical outcomes today, while also working to close the gaps in stroke prevention, detection, rehabilitation, and long-term recovery in the future.

Our Methodology Icon Triangle

Physician-Driven Innovation

Our physician-driven approach to innovation puts the voices, needs, perspectives, and ideas of front-line doctors at the center of our research and development process.

This collaborative model of developing technologies for physicians — WITH physicians — ensures that our products and solutions not only move the field forward, but also act as a springboard for greater advances in the future.

Culture of Rapid Innovation

We believe innovation comes from focusing our time and energy on both immediate enhancements as well as longer-term transformational changes.

Without ever compromising quality, we move swiftly through our development cycle, putting emphasis on testing, clinical evidence and physician feedback. This strategic agility enables us to react quickly to the needs of the physician and their patients.

Long-Term Vision Icon Triangle

We envision a world where stroke no longer is a death or disability sentence, but where more and more people are able to return to — and enjoy — normal, fulfilling lives.

Reimagining the entire stroke care continuum

While there have been significant advancements in acute stroke treatment, the need and opportunity to improve quality-of-life beyond the acute care setting are enormous.

With the long-term vision of significant advancements in stroke prevention, detection, rehabilitation, and long-term recovery, we’re working on developing new technologies and devices that realize the vision of a more holistic and interconnected continuum of care.
